finished reading malibu rising last night before i went to sleep!! i overall really liked it. its not my favourite taylor jenkins reid book but its still got her usual charm. i found the omniscient narration style quite enjoyable, if a bit hard to get used to. there were clear character povs most of the time but they weren't limited to just that character's pov and would include necessary thoughts from other characters. i haven't read that kind of narration style in a long time.

started reading the handmaids tale on the train to uni. didn't get too far because i was still waking up and my eyes and brain weren't really absorbing much information.

bonus: my current favourite fic updated!! draco malfoy and the black family curse, which is the 5th book in the draco malfoy and the journal of dreadful things series. i'm thinking of making a post of the top hp fics i recommend and this one will probably go right at the top. i cannot stress enough how much i'm loving it. not only is the story really good, i love how the author fills out jkrs plot holes and also puts her own spin on several things; eg, using "wix" instead of "witch" or "wizard". its such a shame that jkr was the one to write harry potter, because there are so many people out there who would have done such a better job.
